She completed her bachelor's degree in Biosystems Technology, with a focus on Biosystems Engineering, at the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research on developing an eco-friendly automated mini lawn mower using Arduino technology, showcasing her ability to integrate engineering solutions with environmental consciousness.<\/p>\n<p>After graduation, Yehani ventured into the food quality and technology sector, where she gained valuable industry experience. Her roles involved conducting laboratory sessions, contributing to the development of new products, and ensuring the implementation of rigorous quality standards. These experiences reflect her commitment to bridging technical expertise with practical applications to meet industry demands.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout her career, Yehani has demonstrated a strong dedication to fostering innovation and upholding quality in every endeavor. Her work has highlighted her ability to navigate the intersection of biosystems engineering and sustainable practices, aligning with her broader vision of creating a positive impact in technology-driven industries.<\/p>\n<p>Yehani joined the Advanced Soil and Plant Sensing (APSS) Laboratory at Mississippi state University to pursue her Ph.D. studies under the guidance of Dr. Nuwan Wijewardane.
